The Red Bottles
April thru November, 2009
I blew, ground and polished, and assembled my largest work, two large red bottles colored with wine red and silver nitrate. Both bottles were forty inches tall and weighed thirty pounds. They were ordered and conceived by Kathy Walsh for lit spaces in her house on either side of her fireplace. They were absolutely beautiful. On the left, the bottle had four sides and two fully facetted jewel. The bottle on the right was facetted front and back and designed to be assymetrical. Both pieces complimented and contrasted each other. Forty inches tall. Approximately thirty pounds each. Absolutely beautiful!
